The "Sample Gas Transfer Time Automatic Assurance System" enables highly accurate measurements. Equipped with high-response O₂ and CO₂ sensors and a respiratory flow meter, it continuously monitors ventilation flow rate, O₂ concentration, and CO₂ concentration on a breath-by-breath basis (with real-time display capability). This ensures reliable measurements without errors, regardless of exercise intensity.

Cpex-1’s one-click calibration and automated analytics allow users of all skill levels to easily obtain accurate, reproducible data. The previously cumbersome calibration process is now done with just a single click. Scale adjustments and parameter changes can be made in real time, while measuring. The automated analytics and triangular visual indicators Cpex-1 provides make it easy even for less-experienced users to accurately determine the anaerobic threshold (AT point), a key indicator for exercise prescriptions.

The reference values used for evaluation in the final report are authorized for commercial use by the original authors and provide the only standard in Japan for assessing the exercise capacity of test subjects.
