Brain Regional Oxygen Sensor
BROS

Real-Time Monitoring of Brain Function in Early-Stage Rehabilitation

BROS is a medical device that measures a patient's regional cerebral oxygen saturation (rSO2), pulse rate, and transcutaneous cerebral oxygen saturation (SpO2) in real time. It provides detailed visualization of patients' conditions in settings ranging from intensive care to early rehabilitation, facilitating appropriate and desirable medical interventions.

Developed in Response to Real Clinical Feedback

In the rehabilitation field there’s an increasing need for a detailed understanding of the patient’s brain state in order to rehab safely. Traditionally assessing safety and determining the appropriate exercise intensity has been problematic due to the limitations of available methods of objectively assessing cerebral blood flow.

BROS’ Brain-State Data Visualization Gives Peace of Mind

BROS’ visual rendering of the patient’s brain state allows therapists to design rehab programs with confidence. The data it provides helps therapists determine the appropriate exercise intensity and create the best possible rehab environment for each patient.

BROS’ measurement data is also useful for exercise program design and research involving patients with chronic conditions.

BROS Use Case Scenarios

Early-Stage Rehabilitation Support
Supports early patient mobilization in the ICU and acute phases

Critical Care
Early detection of decreased brain oxygen saturation

Neuromonitoring
Risk management of postoperative complications and long-term hospitalization

Coping Strategies for Patients with Cognitive Issues and Frailty
Cerebral blood flow monitoring provides a deeper understanding of patients’ cognitive and physical function
